Grandmother

My Grandmother, I miss her, lost to Bone Cancer. She was a firebrand and even got into bar fights!!! Married my Grandfather after WW2. When I was stung by scorpion she was the one who knew what to do. When under morphine she would go back to speaking Dutch and say the craziest things that had her girlfriends laughing and blushing.

Once you lose the history they hold you miss the times you could have seen so much more...
It was funny, my Grandparents became Mennonite, a break off of the Amish, and she became a tall and big woman compared to my Grandfather who was smaller and so skinny it was funny to hear them argue at times and you would hear my Grandfather yell, "Shut up, Woman!" I would just laugh and they would end up laughing to. Not 2 years after, my grandfather died... his heart broken. In the between times I would daily visit, and listen for hours to his stories... I miss them...
